In working with hundreds of individuals, riders, and horse people over the years, I’ve learned: almost nobody learns what they need to navigate life’s highs and lows skilfully. Sure, we hear about setting goals and following your dreams, but as far as cultivating your emotional intelligence, learning what you need to be brave, confident, kind and resilient… that stuff just falls by the wayside.

You won’t find traditional, “tough love” techniques here. Nope.

If you’ve tried forcing your way through, manning up and battle-axing your way to the other side, you might have noticed the other side just keeps moving further away. If you’re craving a more integrated approach- be that to your riding, work, passion of choice or life in general- you are in the right place.

This is about wholehearted, messy imperfection. We want the whole lot. Taking all parts of us- the intellectual, the physical, the intuitive and the emotional- and bringing them all with us.

And horses- they really are the best teaches. Ride for A Change is life skills, horse powered. Our workshops and courses are designed to foster hope, bravery and resilience and contribute to a wider community that values the same.
